Maple City Framing is a family-owned business purchased by sisters Karen Smith & Karla Yarka, in the summer of 2018. Formerly The Main Frame, this Hornell institution prides itself in continuing the tradition, the commitment to customers, and an overall excellent framing experience in which this business is based.
We offer full-service custom framing for all of your mementos, artwork, photographs, and your varied treasures. We create our custom frames in-store and pride ourselves on working closely with our customers through each step of their custom-framing journey. Our strong commitment to customer service is coupled with a state-of-the-art approach and the best equipment possible to complete your custom framing request.
We are happy to sit with you to discuss your framing options, help walk you through the process, and ensure that you are making the best choices for your custom creation.
With a background in early childhood education, custom framing wasn't what Karen envisioned herself doing. So what made her accept this challenge? A persistent younger sister and genuine love of the Hornell community!
A lifetime resident of the area, Karen has been involved in local business, local politics, sports teams, and Hornell City schools. As a mother of four, her passions lie with her family, her community, and all things beautiful.
When she's not teaching elementary school, Karla finds her passion behind the lens of her camera. Her relationship with The Main Frame predates her teaching career and it is her hope to give people the same joy and pride she found when framing her work.
As a lifetime resident of the Hornell area, Karla would love to celebrate local artists and continue the rich tradition of custom framing for the surrounding Southern Tier community.
